We want to establish a space where the minority population can go to feel connected to their community, express and share their cultural values and continue to build a legacy through property ownership, investments, supporting local businesses and creating generational wealth. “By The People” is wording directly derived from former President Abraham Lincoln. In the Gettysburg Address, he stated “A government of the people, by the people and for the people shall not perish from the earth”. This is by no means a political site HOWEVER we realize that politics play a major role in the way some of our communities have been shaped. For example, we still have variations of redlining and deed restrictions that unfortunately impact us today. We stand for equality across the board. We want those statements President Lincoln spoke to be a true reflection on how the economy produces the policies that affect our minorities so we can all move ahead in life and close the ever growing wealth gap in America. This is not just a minority issue. We hope that you will support this journey of bringing forth awareness and changing mindsets by wearing our messaging or simply sharing the site and content with your friends and/or local community leaders. Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Tobias Keene brings a bit of unabashed Southern hospitality to all his patients. He moved to Washington, D.C. over thirty years ago as a freshman at Ivy College. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries.
